Kylie Just Responded to Claims She’s ‘Putting Customers at Risk’ by not Following ‘Proper Sanitation Protocols’

Back and forth. Kylie Jenner argues with a makeup artist on social media. The founder of Kylie Cosmetics was called out to her sanitation protocols when she posted a photo of what appeared to be a lab making her products.

Kylie posted a photo to Instagram of her in a lab coat with the caption: “creating new magic for you in the lab better than ever. @kyliecosmetica.” Immediately after the post, makeup artist KJ Bennett posted a photo criticizing The Kardashians star. “I know the Kardashian/Jenner stans will come to my throat because I call their cosmetic queen…but WTF @kyliejenner 🤬🤨🤬,” he wrote on Instagram. “I am a cosmetic developer and as part of my job I collaborate with cosmetic manufacturers (and their labs). I have very short hair and I was NEVER allowed in the lab or on the production floor without a hairnet, shoe covers, mask… and disposable gloves.” He continued: “Kylie makes her followers think she makes cosmetics. And I would like to know which unwitting manufacturer (in Italy) let her perform this photo operation in their lab and on the production floor – without following proper sanitation protocols I need the name because I want to make sure my customers NEVER work with them Folks this is not the way we make cosmetics and it misrepresents how our industry works Credible manufacturers follow STRICT sanitation protocols to protect you.”

Kylie responded in his comments: “Kevin – this photo was not taken in a production facility. I would never circumvent hygiene protocols and no other celeb or beauty brand owner. That is completely unacceptable, I agree.” She continued, “This is a small personal space that makes my own fun samples and shoots for content that’s nowhere near mass-produced. no one puts customers at risk! shame on you Kevin for spreading false information!!!!”

Kevin replied: “So you stood on a platform and looked into an expensive homogenization kettle that had processed at least 50 liters of a complexion product (the product still covers the mixing paddles) with no personal protective equipment or your hair tied back, while wearing a @weareregi lab coat? But this isn’t a cosmetics production lab, it’s a personal space? Wow, there’s some serious gaslight going on here.” The beauty influencer fired back, “oh were you there Kevin? ugh now I have to change my dog’s name.”

This isn’t the first time this year that Kylie has come under fire on social media. In February, Trixie Mattel reacted to Kylie and her cosmetic brands for stealing the idea for her Valentine’s Day palette. An Instacart driver who claimed to deliver groceries to Kylie posted his experience on TikTok. “This bitch could have paid me more,” he said in the video filmed in his car. “I see all those assistants, all those maids and all that. I haven’t seen Kylie, I haven’t seen Stormi, but I swear I heard a baby scream,” which would refer to Kylie and Travis Scott’s children, Stormi, or their son whose name has not yet been revealed.

Kylie responded directly to the video in a series of comments that are now deleted, “Nobody comes through the gate!” she wrote. “the lying for attention rubs me the wrong way sorry,” she added a second comment, “didn’t order this myself. ! he WAS tipped off the app. also lied about seeing through my windows and hearing it of my son crying.” She then made a TikTok video of her making sandwiches with the pepperoni Pablo was showing off on his own TikTok, noting on her video, “If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just keep going.”
