House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy explained how President Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi should have approached her visit to Taiwan on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Friday.
REP. KEVIN MCARTHY: Biden has shown weakness from the very beginning from Afghanistan. Watch as he made China speak to America, first on our soil in Alaska. And what did he do when Nancy Pelosi went to Taiwan? He showed weakness again and said, “Well, the military doesn’t want her to go. Well, it’s Nancy.” Why didn’t he stand up for America and say that China isn’t going to dictate when and who goes to Taiwan?
NANCY PELOSI LEAVES TAIWAN AFTER VISITING CHINA . CRITICS
China would have had a different opinion of what they said and did. But the other point about Nancy Pelosi: I support Americans going to Taiwan. But if you Chair, wouldn’t it have been stronger if you had taken a bipartisan group? Any other congressional delegation traveling abroad must be two-pronged. It’s only the speaker – if she goes to Ukraine she makes it partisan – only Democrats. When she went to Taiwan, she only made it Democrats. Wouldn’t it also have been a stronger vote for China if you had Republicans and Democrats together?
