Elon Musk says Twitter deal should go ahead if it provides proof of real accounts

Elon Musk said that if Twitter Inc. its method of sampling 100 accounts and how it could confirm that the accounts are genuine, its $44 billion deal to buy the company on the original terms should go through.
“If their SEC filings are found to be materially inaccurate, then they shouldn’t be,” Musk tweeted early Saturday morning.
Twitter on Thursday rejected Musk’s claims that he was misled into signing the deal to buy the social media company, saying it was “incredible and inconsistent with the facts.”
Musk made the claims in a counterclaim filed under seal last Friday and made public on Thursday.
